"Alicent finally lifted her head, smiling just a bit, and saw Rhaenyra studying her with blatant interest. The boldness of it surprised her, and she struggled not to duck once more, her face aflame.
'I- I would be most honored, and most grateful to accept, your Grace.' Her father's hand pinched at her, and Alicent's spine stiffened. 'We thank you for your courtesy, my Princess. My King.'
Applause broke out amid the Court, and Rhaenyra smiled at her. A full, unguarded smile. Alicent did duck her head then, her face redder than the Keep, but her father did not notice this time.
