Yone has spent years defending the human and spirit realms as the Queller Venerable. By his side stands his lover, a demon known as Thresh, and his apprentice, Varus, who belongs to one of the numerous blessed Houses who have been blessed with supernatural powers. In the wings stand the shadowy figures of the other Houses, all of which Yone keeps on a tight leash.
The burden of Queller Venerable is heavy but he must never falter in his duty or let his guard down for the sake of both worlds. For the sake of his brother's life as well, a life he is desperate to protect for Yone bears a terrible secret that could bring everything he has worked so hard to maintain down around him.
