“I didn’t… didn’t know w-where else to go.” Was all he said, hand pressing up against the doorframe as if it took all his strength to merely stand there and speak before him. He was drenched and shivering but his voice followed so firm it outshined the thunder cracking in the distance when he said his name, his eyes glowing beneath his dripping dark evergreen curls. “Kacchan.”

Or, when pro hero Deku shows up injured upon Katsuki's doorstep, resulting in both caring for him and making love to ensure that he's there. The feeling of Izuku puts Katsuki at ease, that connection between their bodies reminding him that he's alive and there and present. They haven't said they're dating, though it's obvious in how he looks at him. How he holds him and how, after every time, he whispers "I love you". Dare he say it, they're partners goddamn it.
