Khona seemed to freeze at the words, the only sign that she hadn’t turned into a statue on the spot being a quick blink.
It was almost comical how swiftly her expression changed when she seemed to process what she had heard, the disheartened disappointment fading into faintly blushed cheeks and wide eyes.
“You…” For once, it would seem that Khona, the one who always had something to say if prompted, had been rendered speechless.

‘Are you sure you’ll be okay by yourself for a few weeks?’
It’s the fifteenth time Blue has asked, and it’s starting to get on Red’s nerves. Something must show on his face, because Blue waves a hand, sighing.
‘It’s not that. I know you can take care of yourself,’ he shrugs, and then rests a hand gently on the cast on Red’s leg, ‘It’s this.’
Red glances down, frowning. His frown deepens at the signatures scrawled across the plaster – he’d initially tried to stop people from doing it, didn’t like the messiness, but a couple of the Battle Tree regulars did it anyway. As always, people really didn’t get ‘no’. Eventually, he gave in.
Even though Blue signed last, he managed to take up the most space.
‘I can cancel,’ Blue offers, again, but his heart is not in it. He’s been looking forward to this. They’ve been looking forward to this.
The plan had been Kalos, for four weeks. Blue had gotten an invitation to take part in a research tour, an expedition of the mountains. Naturally, Red had been immediately invited, with the plan to extend the expedition to a more personal tour of the country afterwards.
Then, Red broke his leg.

Summary
Blue is Kanto Champion for thirty-nine minutes.
That’s it. Technically, he’s part of the Hall of Fame, technically he’s an accepted Champion. Technically, the title was his once, so it will always be his. Technically, he can’t lose it. He just loses being the present Champion.
He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.
Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

Summary
Dan Heng is restless with his new Astral Express family aboard the Xianzhou Luofu, and though he was banished from the ship, he jumps at the chance to go down and see if they're okay. When he does make it safely to the Luofu, everything is too familiar, not to his memories, but to his dreams.
He meets ghosts of a past life, all of them alive and well. And all of them calling him Dan Feng.

“Why did I give up being a healer?” Jiaoqiu repeats Moze's question. "There seems to be a misunderstanding. I haven’t given up on it. I still treat you and the General with my meals every day. Cooking is medicine, and making medicine is cooking.”
“Hmph,” Moze grunts. What a ridiculous notion. Medicine is medicine. Food is food. "That's not an answer."
Jiaoqiu measures his next words for a good while. "Well, when I was young, becoming a healer was the most natural thing to choose, to keep up the family legacy," he says, smiling faintly at Moze. "Perfectly respectable, too, for an omega son in my family. Though my father was less than thrilled when I used it to join the military.”
Omega. The foreign word makes Moze frown.
