The Anniversary of the War Against Fate
Each year, upon the sacred anniversary of the War Against Fate, Olympus and the realms of mortals alike fell still in remembrance.
What had once been a day of lamentation had, through the turning of the ages, become a day of enduring hope.
At first light, the bells of Olympus tolled fourteen times—thirteen for each year the war had endured and one for those who journeyed beyond and never returned.
Their solemn peals carried through Olympus, and each note tugged at something deep within Aurelia. No matter how many years passed, the sound brought back the same ache: the faces of those who had marched beside her and never heard peace ring across the world they had saved.
