Koko dragged his gaze back to the television screen. It had gone cold — the news report had long since moved on, the anchors now babbling about city ordinances and new pet containment laws, but the prickle of electricity still lingered under his skin.
He flexed his fingers once, twice, until the tingling subsided, until the craving to move, to be lured like a sailor to find the siren voice he’d heard dulled into little else than a familiar ache in his chest. One that he had years of practice in pushing back down.

“You understand why that was wrong, don’t you, Hawks?”
“Yes.”
“Very good. But- ah, ah, ah, I’m not finished with you. Sit back down.”
Hawks complies.
“You might say that you understand, but just to be sure, you’re going to write lines. I want them to say, ‘Good heroes are not reckless endangerments.’ Give me a thousand of them. That should give it time to really sink in.” His handler slides him one of his own red feathers, an inkwell, and a blank notebook across the table, rises from her seat, and exits the room. He turns the single feather in his hand, feeling the motion in his plumage. Hawks enjoys those last moments and the airy pull of the twirl, before the inevitable sharp sting like a blade sinking settles in.
Hawks closes his eyes and inhales. When he reopens them, he is sitting behind his desk. He loosens the silk noose around his neck, grips the pen in his hand, and exhales towards the legal pad face-up on the surface. He begins to write.

Summary
When the Hero Public Safety Commission acquires Takami Keigo, soon to be better known as Hawks, they try to sweeten their deal and secure the young boy’s loyalty and interest by introducing him to his idol and personal hero, Endeavor. Over time, the Todoroki Family becomes a bargaining chip that the HPSC holds over their pet project.
Endeavor isn’t running a charity, however. Once Hawks presents as an alpha, Endeavor’s interest in securing Hawks’ quirk for the future of his bloodline increases tenfold. He cashes in his favor and proposes a courtship between Hawks and his omega daughter, Fuyumi. Finding the offer attractive for multiple reasons of their own, the HPSC agrees.
The problem is, some bonds go beyond obeying orders.

Summary
a kokonui anthology! spanning from their childhood/pre-canon days, throughout canon (canon rewrite/canon gap fillers), to future/post-canon ❤ set in mabu tl. this is definitely littered with some hc's and personal interpretations/what-ifs but I try to stay as canon-compliant as possible (at this time, I might wreck some things in the future tho bc drakenui have to remain BFFs lol) and I would personally not go so far as to say that this is au lol ;P
please be sure to check tags for each individual work c: as there will eventually be graphic violence and smut lol. some general blanket cw's that will apply to the majority of the work are for cursing, canon-typical violence, consistent mentions of a house fire, consistent mentions of death, canon-typical gang activity, etc.
