Summary
This wasn’t how either of them planned to fall in love.
There was no slow beginning or careful choice. There was a stalled car on Hollywood Boulevard and a stranger knocking on the window. A night that started as business and ended with something neither of them could name yet.
Paige Bueckers believed in control, intention, and choosing things on purpose.
Azzi Fudd believed in survival, distance, and leaving before it hurt. They were not supposed to collide.
And yet four days after they met, they stood in a Vegas chapel and said vows they didn’t understand.
What followed was tension and tenderness. Rules broken and rewritten. Two women deciding if what they felt was real.
This is a story about choosing anyway.
About loving out loud.
And about giving someone the choice they always deserved.Bookmarked by katelyn0224

Summary
The first rule of protection is distance.
Paige Bueckers had built her life around it. You didn’t get close. You didn’t blur lines. You didn’t let emotions interfere because emotions got people hurt.
Azzi Fudd was never supposed to matter.
She was a name on a briefing file. A public figure with growing visibility, rising threats, and a private life that suddenly needed guarding. Paige took the assignment because she was good at impossible jobs.
She hadn’t expected Azzi’s quiet strength. Or the way she watched a room before speaking. Or how fiercely she loved her daughter.
The first time Paige stepped between Azzi and danger, it wasn’t dramatic, just a hand at her back, guiding her away from a crowd that felt wrong. Azzi had looked up at her then, curious.
“Are you always this serious?” she’d asked.
Paige didn’t answer.
She was already breaking the rules.
Because protection wasn’t supposed to feel like learning someone’s rhythms. And loving Azzi Fudd was never part of the plan.
But it was about to change everything.
