Summary
When Mary Cattermole arrived at the Ministry for her trial, she had expected one outcome: to be locked up in Azkaban along with the other Muggle-borns the Ministry were rounding up like cattle. Fate, however, had other plans for her.
In a frantic attempt to escape, Mary finds herself in one of the most peculiar Departments in the entire Ministry. The Department of Mysteries. In hindsight, picking up a time-turner from the Time Room was not one of Mary's brightest ideas. But getting thrown back 26 years in time was an outcome that Mary would never have imagined- even in her wildest of dreams. It's strange what can happen when fate and destiny (and perhaps a smidgen of uncertainty) band together to re-write the course of your life.
