Enishi and Kaoru begin to talk about the hard stuff.
“Why are you crying?” he asks. Enishi is the first to admit that he’s not very good at responding to the emotions of others. It’s just another way in which their attraction is a complete mystery to him—Kaoru’s emotions always leak out of her and onto everything else, while he can’t really tell you what he feels beyond love, hate, sadness, happiness, and anger. Oh, and apathy. He has a very limited emotional range, compared to Kaoru."
