Frustration overcame him and Sonic threw his comm back onto the coffee table, not even caring enough to see it land before he closed his eyes. It was not even his real one anyway. He tiredly rubbed one hand across his eyes, feeling bone-tired as his back sunk deeper into the couch.
This whole situation was stressing him out.
Shadow gets turned into an actual hedgehog and Sonic has to deal with it.

Sonic and Shadow have swapped bodies. After a battle, Shadow had been dying as his body overloaded with Chaos energy. Sonic had refused to leave him, even when that destructive energy latched onto his own.
Now, Shadow needs them to return to their regular bodies, carrying the guilt that Sonic is not only bearing his recent injuries, but also his chronic pain.
