ok here's the thing: i love the concept of bucky feeling like steve doesn't need him around anymore (i live for angst) and having to move away from him (more angst) and creating his new self (reminds me of that one fic where clint and nat babysit him) without associating himself with steve and i love kim and the animal shelter connection and bucky with animals (he's practically being paid to be in therapy) but i also feel like it's poor execution, especially with the end bc bucky spent a year away making his new life and then oh wait a sec steve actually loves me okay gotta jet, bye all responsibilities that i've made here and all the people that rely on me and the joy that i have bc i have steve so i'm happy no matter what and also i hate how they go from their secret loves to confession straight to sex and it happens in so many fics tbh i should write one just to satisfy my own needs bc i hate how sex is always so prevalent like jeez they literally just saw each other again
