He needs to take his rings off. This will only be possible if he uses all of his power. This is necessary for his decision. This is indispensable. This IS the right decision. Then with all his might he starts pushing.
"More. More. Come on. Move, you stupid machine!" Thank Chaos it works. But he was not done.
Not. At. All.
This was not enough and he was running out of time. Slowly he felt the metal getting hotter under his hands. "Just a little bit more" Then it was done. The distance should be enough but Shadow decided only his death can stop him from pushing Hell away from earth.And then it happened. Shadow closed his eyes and thought about Maria. How happy he was with her. She taught him so much. He never doubted his decision.
This is the right thing to do.
For Earth.
For him.
For Maria.
The last thing he heard was a big boom. After that his vision went black. Finally. Reunited with her. But...wait...there is something wrong. Why...can he feel something? Is this...dirt? Warmth? He tried to...open his eyes and he could. The stars appeared in front of him. "Maria?" A sharp pain on his side."Why am I...alive?"

Summary
The broken moon always served as a constant reminder for Shadow. Shadow the hedgehog looked up at it, trying to piece together its shattered surfaces. Despite its fractures, the Broken Moon reminded him of soft laughter filling the voids of dark corridors, of blonde hair, and of blue eyes that shone so brightly. It symbolized a promise he held deeply, a promise that kept him fighting. These memories were what the Broken Moon helped him to recall. Sitting alone under a tree at night, gazing at it, was how Shadow calmed himself. Well at least how he hoped to calm himself. “There you are, Faker!” Sonic exclaimed, standing there with a goofy grin and his eyes sparkling brightly. Shadow pursed his lips, trying to suppress a growl.
“What do you want, Blue Hedgehog?”he asked.
“Sonic—” Shadow started.
“Can you be my best man at my wedding?” Sonic interrupted.
“What?” What should’ve been an easy task set for wedding bells and cake, turns into something that neither Shadow nor Sonic could comprehend. What makes it worse is when old and new feelings arise, how are either supposed to cope with it all.
