Okkotsu Yuuta was a coward.
He would happily admit that to himself on any given day if it meant that it would keep him out of trouble. But, of course, he wasn't that lucky and had the misfortune of dragging someone else into his mess!
How did things come to this? he lamented inside his head.
When they arrived in front of a konbini, the boy who saved him let go of his hand, turned to face Yuuta and stretched out his flat palm.
No way, Yuuta thought. Is he asking for payment? Is that a new scheme for lowly criminals in Tokyo? First, they save you and then they empty your pockets?
"Pfft!" he heard the boy break out into a burst of laughter "I don't want your money."
"S-so...you're not going to take my wallet?"
"Hahaha, no no," he chuckled. "But give me your phone."
He couldn't believe it. The guy didn't want his money. He really didn't. Instead, here he was, getting his phone stolen out in a busy street in front of a konbini!
Tokyo was truly an intense place, a prison in disguise, he decided.
