“Are you going to stop me?” Hitoshi asks when the silence goes on for a little too long.
“Do you want me to?” Aizawa's eye contact burns and Hitoshi's shoulders hunch. He can't help feeling ashamed, like he's disappointed the only person whose opinion has ever mattered to him.
“Since when has what I wanted mattered?” Hitoshi retorts bitterly, recalling the blank expression, not too dissimilar to the current one, on Aizawa's face as Hitoshi's life was uprooted and shattered against the wall. There was sympathy in the man's eyes; sympathy that, evidently, didn't move him enough to stop the social worker from spending hours violating every inch of Hitoshi's privacy and autonomy.
Aizawa’s frown deepens. “It matters now.”
or: aizawa walks in on hitoshi trying to kill himself. it goes about as well as you think.

“You'll stop what? Say it right!” She’s choked up with sobs, eyes forced closed and unable to look at him in this state.
“I'll stop trying to kill myself!” Izuku bawls, curly hair falling into his face as he glowers at the floor, wishing he could disappear. “I'll stop trying to kill myself, I promise!”
or; inko finds out that izuku is a vigilante and freaks out. he gets sad and ends up having a rooftop chat with eraserhead.
