    Summary

As far as Barty could remember, there was always Evan Rosier.

From the first time they had strapped on their karting helmets as kids, side by side, they had been two sides of the same coin. Sometimes, it felt as if the race was meant to be between the two of them, as though every lap, every overtaking maneuver, every small victory had only one purpose: to bring them together.

When Barty finally got into F1 at the age of seventeen, he'd known it'd be a matter of time before his past caught up to him.

And he was right, for 6 years later, as he cemented his place at the top of the sport, the announcement came: Evan Rosier had signed a contract with Ferrari.

If only it was purely a matter of rivalry...

    Summary

Love is not quiet. Love is not gentle. It is demanding. It takes everything.
This is a lesson Evan spends his entire life learning.
Love is not possession. You do not love something because you fear losing it.
This is a lesson Barty learns too late.

Barty would sacrifice himself for Evan in a heartbeat, even if Evan would rather have him live.
Evan would die a thousand times for Barty, even if it meant losing him forever.
In the end, neither of them get what they want. They were never very good at compromising.

Between a murder charge and a strange, devastatingly handsome man appearing in his life, everything for Evan is about to change.

Yes, there are no tags. Yes, it was done on purpose. This is my AO3, and I've always dreamed of doing something like this. You have my other works as references. If you're brave enough, go for it; otherwise, this fic wasn't written for you. We'll see each other another time :))

Now for those who still want to stick around... Good luck and have fun!!!
