“This is for someone you lost, isn’t it?” Luffy asked, eyes flicking from the heart to Law’s face. He was close, not giving him room to breathe.
Law nodded, hoping Luffy wouldn’t break contact. “A long time ago,” he admitted, willing his voice to be steady.
Luffy’s calloused hand slid down to Law's hip, holding his side and making Law shiver at the tickling sensation. Then he leaned in, bold as anything, and kissed the ink he had just touched, lips lingering a second against his chest. He stared up at him through his doe-like lashes, open and searching.
“Is that why you write so many sad songs?”

Luffy frowns as she takes a bite out of another donut, an uncharacteristic expression flickering across her soft features. “Romance, huh? Like adventure?”
