When Jeongyeon first moved in, she expected peace.
The building was quiet, mostly filled with older residents. Her next-door neighbor was a sweet elderly lady who always smelled like peppermint and gave her homemade rice cakes for no reason. The only potential disturbance, she figured, would come from a few doors down—where some girl named Momo lived with a two very strange-looking dogs.
She could deal with that.
What she didn’t expect was to be woken up at 1 a.m. by the unmistakable sound of furniture scraping against the floor above her.
