Miguel is out of venom shots. He checks the obvious places first. Then, when that turns up nothing, he gets creative. He searches the weird little spots where he’s sure he left emergency canisters. Behind his equipment. Tucked between shelves. Even that one drawer where he shoves things he doesn’t want to think about but can’t quite bring himself to throw away.
Nada.
Each empty spot chips away at his patience until it’s hanging by a thread. And when the realization hits. When he finally accepts that he’s gone through every last emergency supply because this isn’t the first time he’s barricaded himself in the lab for days on end, he actually laughs. A humourless chuckle that bubbles up from his chest as he nudges an empty canister with his foot, watching it roll across the floor and plink off something in the distance.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
He’s going to have to see the doctor.
Miguel would rather do just about anything else.☆ Miguel must hunt you down on your only day off, even if it means entering a sketchy nightclub to find you and get what he needs.
