Summary
In an alternate version of events, Deanna Troi learns she is pregnant soon after William Riker leaves Betazed. Despite missing their planned reunion on Risa, Deanna keeps the baby - never telling Will that they have a child.
When Will realizes that he'll never be able to get Deanna out of his head - or his heart - he tracks her down only to meet his daughter and realize that there is more to life than a career as a Starfleet Captain.

Summary
They are not what they were, once, but there is something to be said for knowing another person so completely. Even if the effects are not always comfortable. There is something to be said for being understood. Perhaps that’s why they so often shy away from doing this. It’s easier not to dwell on the choice they have made to intentionally walk the more difficult path.

Set near the end of Picard 3.8 "Surrender" -- so spoilers through that episode. Missing scene. Raffi Musiker is scary. But Captain Will Riker would be lying if he didn’t also privately admit that his wife has the ability to completely unnerve him. And, it would seem, she’s having the same effect on Raffi and Worf.
