Summary
But, that reminded Susie of the issue of the hour. “Okay actually, where the hell is Kris?”
Like okay. Kris literally said two days ago that they would go to the festival with her. Like to her face and everything. That was a done deal. So them not being here was pretty freaking weird.
Where were they?
(In which Susie is confused, Berdly is delusional, Noelle is conflicted, and Kris is facing the horrors.)

Summary
Music plays. Kris thinks of warm hands over theirs, guiding them through playing piano. They think of running up and down the stairs in Holiday manor, and of hot chocolate with a secret ingredient that made it even sweeter. They think of being hit with a wiffle bat, but never hard enough to hurt, only hard enough to make Noelle start laughing so hard she got tears in her eyes.
Sometimes at the lake, when Kris sits in just the right spot, in just the right way, they hear music.
