“I used to stargaze back at home,” Tanjiro continues, his eyes lighting up at a good memory, “mostly alone since nobody else wanted to be out on the cold nights, but I loved it when my siblings came. It was so pretty over there, I wish I had time to do that again.”
Inosuke soaks the information up like a sponge and wonders if it’s really as wonderful as he says, or if it’s his romantic way of speaking. He’s heard of stargazing before, he’s never done it himself but Zenitsu has asked Nezuko to go plenty of times and explained to Inosuke what it means. At the time, it sounded stupid, why would you just sit there and stare at some white dots? But when Tanjiro says it… maybe it’s because he’s his boyfriend, but it sounds… interesting.
Or, Tanjiro shares a memory from the time before he lost his family and expresses how he misses and longs for the youth he had to abandon. Inosuke doesn't really understand it, but he wants to do something nice for his boyfriend, and decides to try and give a little of his teenage years back to him.

“Do you believe in the concept of soulmates?” Xingqiu asks, his head resting against Chongyun’s shoulder.
“Soulmates?” Chongyun replies, and Xingqiu makes a noise in the affirmative, curls closer into Chongyun’s side. His book lies open on his lap, thin fingers dancing across the page, and he taps the end of a passage as though Chongyun could read the words from there. He tilts his head up a second later—amber eyes bright as they meet Chongyun’s own—and Chongyun blinks back.

Chongyun and Xingqiu aren't soulmates, but only because “soulmates” don’t technically exist. Xingqiu thinks they might as well be soulmates anyway, and Chongyun is inclined to agree.

Summary
Xingqiu had always expected to be the one who confessed first.
Some days, he would sit on the edge of his bed, fingers digging into silken sheets and his legs swinging as he rehearsed lines he could never find the will to actually say out loud. Much less, say out loud to Chongyun’s face. Even still, Xingqiu hadn’t actually imagined Chongyun to come out with his feelings before him. Maybe Chongyun was good at hiding his feelings, maybe Xingqiu was just too caught up in his to even recognize his companion’s own (looking back, the swordsman now feels dumb to have not realized the way Chongyun’s face dusted pink when the both of them would accidentally get too close), but somehow the two managed a way to communicate.
In short, a slight progression of Xingqiu and Chongyun dating. Xingqiu comes to learn that his boyfriend is rather clingy, but not in a bad way.
