    Adam was a retail worker with a penchant for being in the wrong place at the right time. When a one night stand left him with a couple of boys to support he had to switch jobs which meant a commute, which meant he was on the train the night it derailed.

    Lucifer’s never taken the train before and if his soon to be ex-wife hadn’t poisoned his driver and sent what seemed to be every lowlife in the city after the last copy of their prenup so she wasn’t left out to dry, he wouldn’t have that night either.

    In the aftermath of the wreck Adam’s thinking about switching careers and Lucifer finds Adam’s the only one he might be able to trust as thieves and murders are around every corner and it’s Adam’s sense for trouble that’s keeping Lucifer from being smack dab in the middle of it.
