Summary
“Hinata, you’ve had a headache for two weeks and haven’t even left the flat in the past three days.”
Which, for someone like Hinata, who spends every waking second doing his best to be a human version of a ping-pong ball, is practically unheard of. Whether it’s for exercise or for errands, he usually spends several hours a day zipping around town. Couch potato just isn’t in his DNA.
Unless it’s time for feeding.
Which he’s been ignoring. For too long. Again.

Hinata Shouyou is a vampire and Kageyama Tobio is his willing biannual blood donor. There's just one teeny tiny problem: Hinata is a very squeamish vampire.

Summary
Born and raised in an aquarium, Shouyou – a young merman – has never seen the outside world, let alone the sea.
When new screens around his tank are installed, playing videos of the ocean, he becomes entranced. Eager to see the place where he came from, he begs Kageyama Tobio – the marine biologist responsible for his care – to take him there.
Kageyama agrees, and so begins an ongoing trial to return Shouyou back to the sea. There’s just one problem: as the aquarium’s prized exhibit, he has had every need and whim completely catered to him, and the ocean is not very forgiving to spoilt mermen. Together, they both learn how to find freedom and a new life with each other out on the open sea.
(A merman AU; Shouyou has lived his whole life in a tank. Kageyama is going to be one who lets him taste freedom.)

Summary
In the summer of 2016 three things happen in Rio de Janeiro: a move, a fling and the Olympics. A month after Hinata hooks up with Oikawa, an oblivious Kageyama visits Rio as the youngest player on the Japan Men’s National Volleyball Team. He and Hinata have drifted apart since graduation and he’s not sure why, but he hopes they can reconnect during his stay. Hinata, feeling guilty and nervous about his time with one CA San Juan setter, has been avoiding Kageyama’s requests to meet up unsure of what he'd do or say if he sees him. They have two weeks to make up for a year of miscommunication, but we all know they're not very good with time management.

Summary
“You want to head out?” Shouyou asks as soon as Kageyama is redressed and refreshed as well.
“Out?” Kageyama repeats, looking slightly confused.
Shouyou gnaws at his lip, a little bit of trepidation starting to sneak in under the excitement. “Yeah. We could go watch another sport – uhh, if there’s space – or go see the village, anything! We just won, don’t you want to go feel the buzz of being a winning Olympian?”
Kageyama hums, eyes still trained on the clock, before he shrugs a shoulder. “No,” he says simply, in that usual blunt way of his, “it’s too noisy.”
-
In which it's Hinata's first Olympics and he's so ready to experience it all with Kageyama right by his side, but it seems as though Kageyama is a little over the novelty of being an Olympian.

Summary
Ginger gives him a strange look before snorting loudly. “God, you’re weird,” he says, voice shaking with barely suppressed laughter. “Do you normally harass people for games and ask them bizarre questions, or am I just special?”
Tobio feels a strange urge to punch him and stalk away, but he refrains.
“I need to join a beach volleyball game for… practice,” Tobio grits out eventually, getting back on topic. He can’t let his temper blow this opportunity – the chances of him finding another random Japanese speaker playing beach volleyball are likely to be slim. “Our coach sent us here.”
“Practice? For indoor?” Ginger asks, but he has the decency to look intrigued, pulling his cap back on and rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “To like, transfer skills and stuff?”
“Something like that,” Tobio shrugs. “So can I join or what?”
-
Kageyama Tobio is tasked with joining a beach volleyball game in Brazil shortly after Team Japan's defeat at the Olympics. By some miracle, he finds a Japanese player called Hinata Shouyou, and life is never quite the same after that.
