Summary
Brendon had never longed for stable companionship.
He was always too busy, with med school, then his residency, then a long, long period of “settling” in his new work position as a surgery resident. When he was younger, his life had all been a whirlwind of changing and settling, even just slightly, before changing again. He wasn’t ever satisfied with just one place, just one hobby, just one job, just one person.
Then, after years of routine, the fragile, self-imposed stability he’d built with years of patience he didn’t have, a curly-haired trainwreck hit him right where he never knew he needed it, and then proceeded to slide quietly into his life.
Just like a missing puzzle piece settling right into place.‼IMPORTANT‼: this is the sequel of my previous fic "Too Sweet". It can be read as a stand-alone, but I doubt any of you could make the sense of it, so go check that out.
