Summary
It’s the twelfth of December and Annabeth is drunk.
She’s not sure who’s apartment she’s in and she lost Piper about half an hour ago. She’s taken up residence on a very comfy couch and has resorted to people watching. Annabeth has been staring at the lights on a girl’s reindeer sweater for perhaps five minutes when a body slumps down next to her.
She looks over to find her best friend, Percy, blinking at her sadly. She reaches over and pats his head.

All her questions and annoyances die on her tongue as, carefully, slowly, gently, he reaches out to tug a soft hat over her head, tucking hair behind her ears and making sure it’s tugged securely over them, his fingers are chilly where they brush against her skin, calluses rough and she’ll blame the snow that’s started falling in earnest for the way she shivers and has to squeeze her eyes shut.
“There,” he says softly, fingers lingering on her cheeks for a heartbeat before they’re gone. She suddenly feels colder than she was before.

Summary
There’s no dramatic run up or lift in the air as they approach each other, but they extend their arms out to each other immediately and wrap one another up completely. Pressed against her like this, even fully clothed, Bellamy realises, or rather, remembers, how far out of his depth he is. He distracts himself by running his fingers through her hair.
She speaks first, breaking the calming silence of their hug.
“I missed you so much,” she says, her voice muffled by his chest, which her face is pressed into. Those words mean everything to him. He knows he’ll play them on a loop in his head when he’s alone in bed later.
“I missed you too,” Bellamy responds. (Understatement of the year, he’s drunkenly cried at least three times in the past year she’s been in London). He presses a chaste kiss to the top of her head

Clarke returns home after a year studying abroad and moves back in with Bellamy, her best friend from college. Bellamy is having a hard time repressing his romantic feelings for her.
