"Toudou hanged up the phone and frowned. Maki-chan’s timing was probably well thought, letting him know about his departure this late. Toudou wanted to ask why was he, so suddenly, leaving abroad, although there was an obvious reason - European school year starts in September.
If it is only college, then it would be all right. Maki-chan could still visit Japan during summer vacation. Toudou has been prepared there would be less opportunities for their races after finishing high school, but he never considered the possibility of Maki-chan leaving the country.
The idea of not seeing Maki-chan for a whole year (or even longer) was hitting him very hard."

It would be assumed, from their many encounters involving biking that the two of them would have little else to talk about. But after a chance encounter in Akihabara, Manami and Onoda find themselves bonding over a shared interest in catchy anime theme songs, among other things. It's a quick ascent into full-fledged friends from then on, much to the suspicion of the rest of the Bike Racing Club. Or more accurately, the self-proclaimed protectors of Onoda, Imaizumi and Naruko. || Entirely fluff. This is my desperate attempt at igniting some more love for this adorable ship. With a bit of awkwardly parental Imaizumi/Naruko thrown in for giggles.
