You know, other than losing the chance to ever have a family of my own. I guess that’s lucky, they said? But… if it’s spread…”
Tim swallows hard, his eyes never leaving hers as she speaks.
He can see the tears in her eyes. She’s stubbornly refusing to let them fall, because she’s one of the strongest women he’s ever known, but he sees them and he hates what they represent.
“If it’s spread I’m just really, really fucked.”
