Summary
The event that led to Dick finding Jason was a phone call between Li, Black Mask’s right-hand man, and a bum from Gotham called Thomas Carbone, who had a story to tell that would “most certainly interest” Sionis.
The bum talked about “the boy” that he found in the back alley. He talked about how he didn’t speak and looked numbly at everything, said how he slept on a piece of newspaper.
“I knew the kid’s moves. Had a drug run with a boss a while ago. He’d kicked my ass just as he did old Al’s, I tell you. There’s no mistaking it. I know who the kid is… and I think you’d be interested. I think that kid is Robin."
...Dick finds Jason during his catatonic era.
