‘I hadn’t really thought about it,’ Joel says. And he hadn’t but now he has, the thought is a warm tingling feeling just below the surface of his skin.

Summary
‘A few years ago, Joel had DM’d him, hoping for a collaboration. Aleksi had opened and read the message, intending to reply, but then forgot about it and never replied, accidentally ghosting him. It had just slipped his mind, and even though he’d known for a while that he’d be working on a song with Blind Channel - with Joel - it hadn’t been until this morning that he’d remembered properly and realised what that might mean, what might come of it. Shame had bloomed in his chest, making him nervous of the day ahead of him.
Luckily, Joel hadn’t held it against him. Hell, Aleksi wasn’t convinced he hadn’t forgotten about it entirely, because there was nothing but smiles on his face. Even so, the longer he spent in the studio with him, the more the nerves had built up. He’d hidden it well, because he was quiet and withdrawn by nature and was good at keeping his face a mask to cover his emotions, but finally he was done. There was tomorrow, to finish up the final details of the song, but that was it, and he could finally think about relaxing in a hotel with a beer.’
