And so, like any good friend and gossip queen and amateur mixologist, she keeps an eye on them. By the end of the first hour of her new plan to see what’s going on between the two girls, she can say with complete and total certainty that yes, there’s definitely something going on between them.

“I—” Lux swallowed, her hands trembling. “What is this?”
Jinx laughed, wild and breathless, tilting her head like she had just discovered her new favorite toy. “Who cares?” she said, stepping closer, her glowing red eyes locking onto Lux with an intensity that made her stomach twist. “It’s perfect.”
Lux shuddered at how Jinx looked at her as if she was something to be consumed. And the worst part?
