A long time ago, the Republic fell when the districts rebelled against Coruscant, the Republic’s beating heart. These days were known as the Purge and were a time of darkness for all people in the nation. As a reminder of the consequences of resisting Coruscant, Coruscant’s wise leaders installed the Hunger Games, a televised fight to the death between one girl and one boy from each district.
When her little sister Rey is chosen to take part in the Games, Ahsoka Tano volunteers to take her place. She loves her family more than anything, and the Games are a death sentence. Should be a death sentence. But as it turns out, perhaps not.
