    Summary

“Look,” Robin says, shifting her weight. A hot, full-body prickling sensation, forever her foremost symptom of the disorder nervousness-around-pretty-girls, spreads out from the center of her chest. “I’m not trying to be facetious. Like, I talk a lot, and maybe some of it is snarky, but really that’s just for teachers. All I’m saying is that I have never, I think in my entire life, started a project three weeks in advance, and in fact I think that—”

“Robin,” Nancy says. Her hand tightens around Robin’s wrist, and the pressure of it turns her mind concerningly blank. “Look, I have too much to do to stand around arguing with you. Can I have your number?”

Robin blinks in feigned surprise, then makes a noise that’s half-laugh and half purposefully haughty scoff. “Has anyone ever told you you’re a real romantic?”

    Summary

Something about this woman is painfully familiar, but she can’t say ‘I feel like I know you, what’s your name?’ when the stranger hasn’t shown any hints of knowing Leah.

(Aside from the warmth in her eyes that Leah brushes off as friendliness. Aside from the slight pull of her lips that Leah brushes off as annoyance. Aside from the screaming heart between Leah’s ribs that Leah brushes off as embarrassment at staring openly at such a beautiful woman.)

or, Leah meets Fatin again. And again. And again.

“At least there’s one good thing about this dumb show,” Fatin adds. Her tone is lighter now, the pitch of amusement. “The actor they picked to play you is, like, insanely hot.”

There’s a flash of something low in Leah’s stomach, red-hued and braided with envy; she frowns, bothered in a way she can’t quite explain. There’s definitely no sulkiness in her voice, not even a little bit, when she says: “Eh, she’s not that great.”

“Well, she’s a low three compared to the real thing,” Fatin agrees easily, knocking her shoulder against Leah’s. “But I’ll take what I can get.”

    Summary

Written for #SCRiftWeek (Sept 21 prompt: Hate Sex).

After a midnight DEO lockdown strands Lena and Supergirl with a Luthor-locked control core, years of secrecy snap. Lena needles; Kara answers like a soldier, not a friend. The argument detonates into consent-checked, feral hate sex that doubles as a power struggle—Kara pins, Lena weaponizes the pin. They burn under blinking cameras until Alex erases the evidence. In the quiet aftermath, Kara admits: “I hid behind a symbol; you got trapped behind a surname.” The hate doesn’t end; it changes shape.
