    “No you can’t, Izuku!” Inko yelled before her eyes steeled over as she zipped her suitcase shut. She took a deep breath as she willed herself not to cry anymore. “If you think you can protect yourself then do it, but I’m going to protect myself too. I can’t…won’t watch this Izuku. I love you, but if you’re going to throw your life away instead of thinking about the people around then…the people around are going to leave so you don’t hurt them.”

    Delirious with fever Izuku reveals he's been on his own for over a month to the two pro heroes in his hospital room who only wanted to watch over him. Not that anyone has seriously noticed, they've been living in the dorms after all and Izuku was always good had hiding things despite contrary belief. Upon realization, is what she said true? Is everyone going to leave him? Is the path of a hero meant to be taken alone?

    It's an awful, stormy night on patrol, and Aizawa is about ready to go home to his Sunshine for some cuddles.

    Then he hears a tiny whimper, fragile and delicate, and knows that there's a child somewhere out here, lost or hurt or both, likely to need his help. It's not even a question that he'll try to find them.

    He's wrong about part of that though: there's three of them. Gleaming, narrow eyes set into thin faces, dirty clothing and matted hair. Shivering. He doesn't even have to think twice before knowing that he'll be bringing home strays of a slightly different sort tonight.
