Summary
Izuku gets caught up in a villain fight before school, because what else would he do? And he deals with it, even manages to get to homeroom on time, but of course a civilian's Quirk affected him and now the person that has hurt him most is stood in front of him and he can do nothing but blurt out his buried feelings.
Aizawa knows that Midoriya is a Problem Child, and it's honestly somewhere between endearing, concerning and frustrating. And for all the tension that there could be in this class at times, he wasn't expecting truths like these to come to light, but he doesn't even surprise himself when he goes into Dad Mode over them. Midoriya deserves a little more love after all.

Summary
Izuku arrives at school dazed, beaten up and broken. Aizawa takes him to Recovery Girl, then the hospital, then home.
Said home becomes Izuku's too, of course, because what's one more kid when you've already got two? And his Problem Child needs someone, anyone, who cares, who will accept him and love him.And so, over the course of several days Izuku is shown, again and again, that he is loved. That he is safe to love who he wants, to be nerdy and vulnerable and kind and simply himself in any measure he should choose. Now he has a family to show him that.

Izuku knows that he doesn't have the healthiest sense of self-worth. Or the healthiest coping mechanisms. Which is probably why he finds himself staring at the stars, arms against the roof railings, and wondering if he deserves what he has at three in the morning.
Aizawa knows that his Problem Child doesn't have an ounce of self-preservation to balance out his bravery and intelligence. He just didn't know it was this deep-seated. But he'll listen and learn and, with all his might, try to teach this kid that he's worth everything that Aizawa sees in him.
