What he doesn't expect is Roman's voice to be shaky, a little panicked. "Ken, I think I fucked up."

It sounds awkward and out of place coming from her. Roman shrugs one shoulder up to his ear, “Yeah, fine. I dunno. You know. Fine.” He looks down at his hands and starts picking invisible dirt from his fingernails. “I guess I’m just, like… I mean, I feel like maybe it’s more embarrassing at this point if I… don’t kill myself? So…”

After the protest, Roman keeps walking. He's not sure where he's going, but somehow he's not surprised when he ends up on a bridge.
