Steven had always been reassured by the resurrection of Lars. Of course, he would never want one of his loved ones to die but at least he could bring them back, right? He had no reason to doubt his healing powers, even though he never used them after his corruption--well he's never even had to use his resurrection powers but once. But surely they would work again!
