Summary
"You were gonna die," Luffy said, voice low. "Like Doffy wanted. Like it didn’t matter." The words weren’t an accusation. They were a fact, laid bare between them, raw as an open wound.
Law turned his face away, jaw clenched. "What I do with my life isn’t your concern." The lie tasted bitter. He’d known exactly what he was doing when he walked into that fight, knowing he might not walk out. The thought of Luffy seeing through it, seeing him, was worse than the heat of his body pressing down.
Luffy huffed, annoyed, and leaned in until his nose nearly brushed Law’s. "You’re mine," he said, like it was the simplest thing in the world. "Allies don’t let allies die stupid."
