Summary
He looks good, slumped across from A-Xu like this. He would have expected the white hair to hurt his vanity, but it gives him a saintly, martyred air, especially paired with the peace in his face. He’s done it, he’s given everything and saved his beloved, and now he can go to his rest...
“Hey, Lao Wen, listen up. Do you know what my cousin Helian Yi said to me, before he put me on the meathooks? He said that I, Zhou Zishu, was his soulmate.”
An instant of vertigo, and Wen Kexing lands back in his own body with a jarring thump. “He fucking WHAT?!” he roars.

Summary
Wen Kexing looks devastatingly beautiful. His eyes and lips are painted in red, so much of it that it's clearly visible even through the thin veil obstructing the lower half of his face and wrapped around his head, covering his long silky hair. They put jewelry on him, shiny and delicate. He's decked out in expensive silk and sheer fabrics that allow a glimpse at the contours of his chest, his hips, his crotch.
So, what if Wen Kexing came up with a different plan to rescue Zhou Zishu from Prince Jin...

Summary
Wen Kexing stomps through the palace with a face like a stormcloud, scowling at everyone who sees him. He hasn’t been able to find Zhou Zishu for hours, not since he’d let that finance minister’s son kiss his hand in full view of everyone in the great hall. One moment his guard had been standing across the open floor, staring at him through narrowed eyes, then the next he’d disappeared into thin air. Wen Kexing had tried to focus on the little spike of triumph he felt at that - two can play that game he’d thought smugly - though the unease prickling under his skin felt a little too much like guilt for comfort. And given that Wen Kexing has now spent the last several hours wandering very nonchalantly through the palace grounds without glimpsing Zhou Zishu even once, perhaps he should’ve paid better attention to that feeling.
Sometimes stupid games get you exactly what you want.

Summary
Absently, mind on the work he’s doing, Zhou Zishu says, “Shidi, can you—”
His mouth snaps shut on the request, but it’s already too late.
Wen Kexing turns to him and says, “I’m sick of this.” His tone is almost cheerful. There’s still more malice laced through Wen Kexing’s mouth than Zhou Zishu can remember hearing directed towards him before.
It shivers across his body, and Zhou Zishu closes his eyes briefly before carefully setting down the wall-hanging he’d wanted help replacing. “What do you want to do about it?” Zhou Zishu asks, shifting his weight to prepare for the attack he suspects is coming.
Wen Kexing plays with his fan, silently considering him, and then a smile spreads across his face. “I’m going to make you forget that word.”
