Summary
For the second time she locks eyes with the man in the coat.
“What’s your name?” he asks her quietly.
“I-,” she begins. Her pulse thunders against her temple. The man’s eyes bore into hers like he already knows the answer. So she gives it to him, because the realization is too heavy for her to carry alone.
“I don’t remember.”
The room goes deadly quiet.
(Or, after a mission gone wrong, Riza wakes to find that her memories are gone. Her colleagues, best friend and her -surprisingly- very caring superior are there to offer help.)

Roy pauses by a bench and grips one of its metal arms, leaning his weight on his right side. At the edge of the park he can see a telephone booth bathed under the light of a streetlamp. It’s right there. He could go in, for a moment. Make the call. How much worse could another bad decision make things?
Would his Lieutenant be happy to hear from him?
(Or, some time after Fuhrer Bradley takes everything away from him, Roy calls his Lieutenant.) -

Summary
“How have you been?” his doctor asks him after a moment.
“Fine,” Roy responds, calmy.
He is, really. Mostly he feels numb. And tired. And his scars hurt, sure. On the whole, nothing out of the ordinary.
“Have you been experiencing any pain in the areas with scar tissue?”
Every waking moment. But it’s fine. Really.
“Not much.”
Harris frowns. “I want to help you, you know,” he tells him.
“I know,” he brings himself to say. His doctor sighs heavily.
“How are things at work?” Harris asks, after a minute.
Roy has to look away, suddenly. It doesn’t take long for the numbness to wash over him again though, thankfully.
“Fine too.”
(Or, Roy's still healing wounds, excessive work and an argument with his Lieutenant slowly take their toll on him.)

The following are archived letters retrieved from the late Fuhrer Roy Mustang’s estate. Having no living family, the State seized control of the Mustang home two years following his death in 1962. The staff at Central Library North has read, sorted, and displayed several historical mementos found throughout the Fuhrer’s personal office, including what appear to be love letters and general musings between Amestris’s esteemed leader and a woman called simply, Elizabeth.
