As if on instinct, his hand reached out, trying to grab a hold of the ginger. But the action was performed in vain for Chuuya slipped right through his fingers. "Goddamn it!"

He couldn't help it, couldn't help the desperation slipping into his voice, couldn't help the self loathe slipping into his mind, couldn't help entertaining the thought that had he been a better and more competent partner, Chuuya wouldn't be lying here.
