Summary
Seven days after Clinton Franics Barton was born, park ranger Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning for the seventh time, all in the year 1977.
It's that sort of Sullivan luck that seems to follow him wherever he goes.
The path of a superhero is never an easy one but it's harder when you're just an ordinary guy, but maybe that's the lesson. Even the most ordinary, with a little luck and a strike of lightning, can become extraordinary.

Edwina’s mind gave up on her.
“Uh huh. That’s not very funny, Brettany, Halloween’s a month away.”
Brettany only looked at her with half-lidded dead eyes. Immediately, Edwina could feel the bubble tea in her hand trying to escape towards Brettany. Irritated, she tugged it back.
“See?” Brettany grinned, one hand now holding another drink, her own set on the floor. “Witch.”

Clint Barton’s got a bag full of stolen money and a burning desire to stay under the radar. His old friends in the Carnival will be looking for him and they sure as hell won’t be happy. In a desperate attempt to stay off their radar, he ends up in Timely, a small town so far off the beaten track he’s surprised he even found it, and waits for Barney to comes and get him. Because Barney will be coming. Clint knows he will.
But there's something about the town. Maybe it's the strange wolf that watches him from the trees, and the way people finish conversations when he enters a room.
