“That’s me,” the woman says, a tired smirk pulling at her mouth. “It’s what people here call me. And it’s easier to gain respect from outsiders if they think I’m a man.”
Alicent shifts uncomfortably, her tailbone sore from a days worth of riding on treacherous mountain paths. Under her habit, she can feel the goose flesh on her skin, her cold nipples chafing against the rough material of her undershift. She’s desperately tired, the Sisters’ eyes burning hot on the back of her wimple, begging to get to their accommodations. Before her, this Mr. Targaryen contemplates her curiously, head cocked, blue eyes penetrating.
