He downed his glass before he slammed it down on the counter. Flins watched with avid eyes as he brought a hand up to his mouth and with a languid tongue, Varka licked the remnants of fire-water from his calloused fingers.
Yes, Flins thought with a smile of his own, one he hid in the high collar of his cape. One can certainly understand the appeal, Grandmaster.
or, varka has sharp teeth and too sweet a scent when it's not overpowered by guilt. flins has sharper teeth and a hunger to match.

Summary
Varka has been in Nod-Krai for a while and decides to drink to celebrate another victory. As Flins walks in to the bar they chat together, after a few drinks Varka invites Flins over to his room to chat. After a bit of chatter ,Varka whilst drunk kisses Flins. Flins first leans into it and eventually finds himself at odds with his feelings. Flins leaves the scene and avoiding Varka from now on. Varka remembers the day after when he wakes up from his hang over. Now saddened Flins most likely does not want to see him, Varka decides to take matters into his own hands whilst Flins is struggling with his feelings with the Grandmaster. Flins also struggles with his insecurity and the fact that Varka fell in love with a Fae out of all people.
[Angst on Chapter 3 has to do with exhaustion after a fight and Varka panicking over it.]
