    Mike had lived through plenty of horrors in his short time on earth. He would even say he was a pro at being in life threatening situations. But Eddie's voice cutting through his train of thought still made his soul practically leap out of his body alongside a scream that would have sounded like he was being murdered had he not managed to choke it down last second. Instead, it simply sounded like he was being strangled.

    "Oh, hey, Eddie," Mike managed, giving him a strained smile like his heart wasn't beating like a sledgehammer in his chest. "I was just, uh, y'know thinking."

    Eddie stared at him for a long moment from where he was hanging onto a tree with one hand, dark eyes searching like he could see into Mike's soul. "Right," Eddie said slowly. "Thinking. On a bench, in my trailer park, hours after our session ended."

    Mike didn't dignify him with a response.

    Mike comes out to Eddie. Plenty of feelings are had about that.
