Summary
In his dark, cramped little box, Xie Lian’s face grew inexplicably hot. He couldn’t see Father Hua, nor could Father Hua see him, yet it felt as though hundreds of eyes were suddenly on him, eager to hear the details of his most atrocious misdeeds. His stomach churned as he quietly confessed, “I’ve been having certain… thoughts.”
Father Hua waited for a moment before he spoke with a breathy, curious lilt. “Oh? What kind of thoughts?”
Picking at a loose thread, Xie Lian answered as softly as he could. “Um… n-naughty ones.”
His ears pricked again at the sound of rustling, Father Hua’s gown evidently a nuisance for him tonight.
“Tell me more.”
Plagued nightly by sordid thoughts and dreams, Xie Lian seeks out his beloved priest for some much-needed time in the confessional.

Summary
As much as Xie Lian’s heart wants to pound an unsteady beat, he forces it to calm. Still waters across which he can watch his life float by—and not only his life.
“You’re alright,” Hua Cheng murmurs, and Xie Lian’s eyes flutter open to catch his smile as the last few seconds tick by.
“Neural handshake: initiated.”
His breath stills in his lungs, plunged beneath that smooth surface into the murk and grit of his past.

Summary
"The house is beautiful. It’ll need a little bit of work, but it has a lot of character.” Xie Lian accepted the keys when she offered them, turning the ring thoughtfully between his fingers. “I still don’t know why the previous owner abandoned it.”
The realtor’s smile faltered almost imperceptibly. She shifted her weight and glanced toward the house before hesitantly looking back at him. “The house has been on the market for years,” she said carefully. “I couldn’t tell you why the last owner left, but it appears the house has a high turnover rate.” Her fingers tightened slightly around the clipboard tucked against her side. “Once someone moves in, they don’t stay for very long.”
OR: On the verge of losing his apartment, Xie Lian jumps at the opportunity to purchase a beautiful old Victorian home for a fraction of what it’s worth. After a series of strange occurrences, Xie Lian begins researching the property's history. He quickly discovers that one name keeps appearing: Hua Cheng. An eighteen-year-old young man who died in the house nearly a century ago.

Summary
The reunion that occurs immediately upon the main story's end, through Xie Lian and Hua Cheng's marriage and its consummation. And after, Hua Cheng and Xie Lian's second time together - and how exactly Hua Cheng became as 'experienced' as he seems.
By popular demand, I'm separating the parts of In The Eye Of The Ghost King into standalone fics. At least, the ones that are standalone. No need to worry about genre shifts or waiting until the long, multi-part fic is finished; you can just read this.

Summary
“You’re ridiculous.”
“You’ve dated worse.”
“San Lang! That’s rude!”
“That’s true,” Hua Cheng parries mercilessly. “I haven’t even finished the retrospective of all the trash you’ve collected—would you like me to go on?”aka Xie Lian hasn't had any luck in his relationships, but he has a goal in mind, and won't be deterred. That is, until Hua Cheng snaps.
