Summary
Culture Day is coming up for Night Raven College, and Class 1-A has to make an important decision about what activity they'd like to do for the cultural festival. While Ace tries to pull the strings behind-the-scenes so he can get away with as little work as possible, he bites off a bit more than he can chew and ends up with the biggest role in their event. Now, not only does he have to juggle more work than he bargained for, he also has to navigate through some feelings he really doesn't need right now.
(Slow-ish burn DeuAce fic, featuring a lot of high school shenanigans.)

Ace has a problem. Two of them, actually. One of them being the increasingly confusing feelings he has for his friend, growing more and more unbearable as he tries to go about his life. The other being the semi-annual masquerade being hosted this fall, with the implication that girls can come as dates.
So why doesn’t Ace want that?
And why doesn’t he want Deuce to find someone?
Come with Ace as he adventures through angst, self-deprivation, idiocy, and an unwanted visitor.

A masquerade ball? Usually NRC doesn’t do anything fancy, or any dances at all. Crowley is quite a wildcard, but this budget-blowing ball seems too out of character, even for him.
And that one little sentence that Ace wasn’t even sure if his eyes read right.
Grab a mask, and a date?!
He reads the poster again to make sure his eyes aren’t playing tricks on him. Then he reads it again. And again.
This is an all-boys school, so logically, a stereotypical date is assumed to be a girl from another school…
Either the world was about to end or Crowley finally lost the plot.
