Summary
Amaya has clawed her way to the title of world chess champion, each move a battle, each victory a testament to her will. But when she is torn from her life and thrown at the feet of a being who calls himself King, her will is tested in ways she never imagined.
The King is no ordinary tyrant. He is a predator draped in the guise of a monarch, a conqueror who hoards triumphs like trophies and craves the humiliation of the human race he intends to erase.
