After never receiving a gift like all of her siblings and cousins, Mirabel has tried her best to make the best of her life being normal. She's still a Madrigal. No matter how much her Abuela pushes her away. No matter how much her cousins look down on her. No matter how much Luisa ignores her. No matter how much Isabela scolds and bullies her.
As the years pass, it's almost like she's invisible in her own home. Hidden away behind the nursey door, no one except her parents wondered if she was okay. And even then, them being shooed away because "she'll be okay". As the years pass, it's like no one knows she's there anymore. And so, Mirabel decides for the better of her family and the Encanto to just go and stop being in the way.

Kara and Lena met the first day of sophomore year and dated all through high school. Suddenly, Lena moved away from the small town of Midvale and cut all ties between them. But not before she made a promise to Kara. If she ever changed her mind, she could meet her on the rooftop where they started dating, on their anniversary. Whatever happens, wherever Kara ended up, she would make sure to be there.
She didn't show up the first year, nor the second. In fact, it had been 8 years since the promise was made. And every year, on the date of their anniversary, Kara still waits for Lena where they promised to meet again.

It wasn't hard to notice the heart eyes the blonde would give the young Luthor, or how fiercely protective she'd become when someone compared her best friend to Lex. In all her oblivion, somewhere along the way, she lost hope.( Inspired by "I'm falling")
This story also has some thoughts of death, it won't be super detailed, but this is a trigger warning just in case. This story is partly based off of a personal experience in my life from my junior year of high school, but their story ends up better than mine.
