Summary

Summary
A post-Leo-route (bad ending) AU where Chase lives and has to deal with the fallout of so many things. Goddamn this otter can fit so much trauma inside him. Sorry to the Chase x Leo shippers, Chase x Flynn is the end goal here but these two turds have A LOT to work through before that happens.

Summary
What happens when you don’t get away with murder? Many things could have happened that day. In most worldlines attached to the most cursed town in the US it ends in death. In this one? Something different. Maybe more unfortunate? Or maybe less.
Chase doesn’t murder Sydney, but the altercation with Sydney did ruin his life. Ripped away his friends, got him sent to a reform school for boys. Got him sentenced to five years of PTSD from a place shut down for neglect and willful endangerment, and that was AFTER the coverup. Now Chase is back in Echo and hates literally everyone there. The Hum has him in its cross hairs, the Tetanus Alley Gang is the only source for weed in the whole damn county, and no one wants to give the psycho-killer a chance. Will Chase be able to grow out of it? Become something other than another tool of evil?

Summary
Quality of Life- (Noun) the standard of health, comfort, and happiness experienced by an individual or group.
It's been about a year since the events of Echo and Kudzu and Chase are thriving. Together, they have managed to work through copious amounts of emotional, psychological, and physical trauma. However, that isn't to say that they're done and better. On the contrary, both of them (Chase to a greater extent) still have issues when it comes to anxiety and other various mental health afflictions. But, through thick and thin, for better and for worse, they stick together to improve each other's quality of life.

Summary
In an alternate timeline, That Thing At The Lake doesn't quite happen, but severs Chase's relationships with his friends, and gets him labelled a "problem child." He grows up with that stigma, watching that one moment at the lake ruin his entire life. Then, on the first day of school, he finds himself in a class with an old friend, and gets stuck in another class with a fellow problem child. Can he make amends for his past and patch up some of his old friendships? Or does his reputation as the problem child control his life?
And what the hell came over him that day at the lake?
