“Firey!” She managed to sputter out, covering her face with her hands.
He chuckled, his fingers prying her hands away. God, she was beautiful. The way the light fell on her green, vibrant hue, the way her eyes glistened with endless hints of hope and possibility, the way her lips would curl into a smile every time he cracked a joke…
God, did he love her.
“C’mon… Don’t hide your face,” He smiles softly, her hands slowly moving away, glancing up at him. “There’s no need to hide your beauty-” He cut himself off, his cheeks growing warmer and warmer by the second. Leafy giggled softly, the blush on her cheeks still evident.
“You’re such a tease,” She playfully retorts, becoming increasingly more aware of their close proximity.
Yet, some part of her didn’t want to move away.
